About us...
Born of brotherhood
Founded by Paul Beard & Chris Pover in 2023, Soul Warriors is a fast-growing modern tribe of people whose priority in life is to live authentically - with minds anchored in heart and soul - knowing that this is how we connect with and stand in our power.
We recognise that whilst truly speaking and acting from authenticity is mentally and emotionally empowering, it nevertheless can take great courage and we offer interactive talks/discussions, pilgrimages, trainings, women's circles and men's gatherings that bring people together - forging deep connections that support and inspire us to overcome fears that stop us living in this bold and compassionate way.
Chris and Paul knew each other as acquaintances since 2015, but it was only an authentic meeting in June 2022 where a friendship so deep was forged that they know they are soul brothers.
Soul Warriors is their joint inspiration and celebration of soul brotherhood, sisterhood and everyone in between, everywhere.

Our vision is to inspire and support people to discover for themselves the personal power, the mental and emotional strength and the resilience of living more from heart and soul.

Much of Paul's adult life has been focussed on healing from childhood traumas in different ways and embracing the growth and awakening that always accompanies true healing. He is mindfulness and meditation teacher of 21 years, a hatha yoga and relaxation teacher of 14 years, an energy/spiritual healer of 24 years and counsellor & coach of 20 years. See more here: paulbeard-smw.co.uk. Paul also lived and worked in Canada, aged 19-20.
Connection with the rest of Nature has been a huge part of Paul's healing journey and he has been exploring and connecting with the special energy of Dartmoor for 15 years.
Paul is currently in training to be a Biodanza facilitator. He came across Biodanza in May 2025. It was a case of feeling the fear... but it was also love at first dance and his experience of Biodanza has already brought about the deepest healing than anything he has ever tried before.
"I will never succumb to the Fear. That's my commitment to myself and all. This includes fear of fear itself - in the form of anxiety, anger, despair, shame, etc. Being totally OK with feeling anything 'negative' - which loses its power when we lose resistance and just allow it. This acceptance connects me with soul essence, manifesting as ease and inner peace. That's where I'm at. I choose the way of the Heart."
I am a black belt in Kenpo Karate of ten years and have been practicing for twenty years. I have taught hundreds of people of all ages which has kept me in touch with my own body awareness. The discipline of Kenpo has also kept me in relationship with my energy and my own psychology. It is a way of life that underlies where I am in myself now.
I have learned to let go of that discipline and slow down into a greater inner reality that I have realised I have always been aware of, and connected with, on some level throughout my life. My essence.
I am interested in living in a spontaneous way and slowing down to explore what is always arising in myself with curiosity, as each experience is different.
I have also worked in social care for twenty years which has given me insight into the vulnerabilities of myself and others.
Over the last five years I have explored myself from a place of breakthrough or breakdown - as our society would interpret it - and I feel this has led me to be more open to the possibilities of other realities and that I can choose my own life while I am here.
Valuing my true worth, my self. ‘No limitations’ as we say in the martial arts.
Dainei

I am an Inner Life coach, which is my own title for what I have been doing for over 40 years. Along the way I have engaged in various trainings that have resonated with how I live. As they have evolved and arrived in society since the 1980’s. These include primal therapy, person centred counselling and psychotherapy, yoga teaching, bodywork therapies, somatic trainings, trauma informed embodiment skills and self directed psychedelic journeys and explorations.
A fully rounded life is always creative and I am also an artist and self employed landscape gardener with a special interest in the way nature plants her seedlings in systems that are regenerative, rather than overly designed by the human fear of weeds and chaos.
I am happy and fulfilled to have a daughter, sister and a partner, whilst most of the rest of my immediate family have passed on to their next worlds. I also have wide circle of friends, some of whom I have known since my teens.
I favour being body and intuition led even though I do love using my intellect creatively. I like to use words so that they express feelings that are often counter culture and challenging, I have published and illustrated my first book HELLACIOUS in this vein. I am anti-patriarchy and suspicious of coercive hierarchies. In this sense I am a warrior - whilst finding the Hero archetype over adored and boring and a little toxic in our world at this time.
I am also a Zen Feminist which means that I have been involved with being a Zen teacher for over 15 years whilst holding the dissonance between the typical religious patriarchal attitudes, yes, including Buddhism, and my own original nature before any doctrines or cultish dynamics.
My website is daineitracy.uk
I hold workshops all year but particularly at the not for profit annual Freezone Festival which I have been involved with for 10 years or so.
I particularly like working one to one with someone who has come to the point in their life where they want to be free. Really free and grown up and willing to let go of what holds them back from experiencing the unknown and their own life energy unadulterated by conditioning. Interestingly this is often men - which I will take as encouraging.
Give me an email at dainei-tracy@outlook.com and let's chat about the future.
Kate

Kate Dixon has been a part of the Soul Warriors team since January 2025 and has been co-leading our Self~Nature Connection walks since then. She adds Tai Chi, Qigong, mindfulmess, music and song as ways of connecting more deeply with self and nature.
Since working as a nature guide in the wilderness of Terra Nova National Park, Newfoundland, in 1985, Kate has been passionate about helping people to find and deepen their connection with the natural world. She has learned that nature is like a mirror, offering insights into body, mind and self healing through deep listening.
A passion for learning in nature has led her to Scotland, Wales, Canada, Norway and back home to Devon, pursuing a career as a Countryside Ranger, environmental educator and wilderness trip leader . Along the way she has gathered skills and tools to help people get connected with nature and themselves including Tai Chi, Qigong, earth education, storytelling, music and songwriting. Kate is a qualified Tai Chi and Qigong instructor, Reiki and massage practitioner, Forest School leader and wilderness camp leader. She has a Bsc in Botany and over 30 years experience of working with people of all ages and all walks of life.
In 2014 Kate co-founded Forest Chi, Tai Chi, Qigong, Nature connection and mindfulness.
She has lived and worked in Canada with First Nations (Native Americans) including the Cree and Nuxalk, becoming trained in their wilderness skills through the Rediscovery International Foundation project and working with disadvantaged youth and families as a wilderness trip leader. She co-founded Rediscovery Norway in the year 2000, and led wilderness camps for youth, including refugees from many countries including Russia, Armenia and Iraq. This also led her to Finmark in Northern Scandinavia to work with the Sami people.
About our interactive talks and discussions...
We facilitate frequent interactive talks and discussions in community venues across Devon and Cornwall. For us, an essential part of inspiring people to discover the power and strength of living more form heart and soul is providing opportunities to come together - forging deep connections that support and inspire us to overcome fears that stop us living in a bold, compassionate and heart-soul led way. Even though we facilitate, we humbly sit in circle with the group as we recognise that we are all each others' teachers and students.
Our talks and discussions have a minimum of structure (we usually have a loose theme) and are as free-flowing, spontaneous and intuitive as possible. For us, there is already way too much cultural (and conditioned) structure put in place whenever people meet in groups, which stifles freedom of expression and keeps us unnecessarily in the head. We aim to provide safe, caring and confidential spaces where people have the opportunity to express their true selves. We find that this approach allows for heart and soul connections to quickly be made within and between participants at a level deeper than the talking. Everyone feels it. It's magic!
About Self~Nature Connection Pilgrimages...
Dartmoor is an ancient and powerful land that we have a soul connection with. It's power gave Chris the inner strength to transform a breakdown into a spiritual breakthrough. For many years, Paul had dreamt of leading mindfulness walks here. We're fortunate to live nearby. At present, all of our pilgrimages are within the 365 square miles of the National Park.
On each pilgrimage, we lead an intuitive blend of social walking, mindful, silent walking, and at some of the natural power places along the way stopping, breathing and connecting with ourselves/nature-earth. You may have heard of the Japanese practice of forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku)... this is it!
We'll also invite you to take part in some loosely guided, usually slow intuitive movement inspired by our various backgrounds in tai chi, qi gong, yoga and martial arts, but which all converge on boosting our Chi (vitality, energy, aliveness, prana). Moving through the beautiful land Dartmoor in this way is deeply fulfilling, revitalising and powerful.
Our pilgrimages aren't about the distance covered, but about connection to self, others and nature/earth - always aiming at a soul-nourishing balance between doing and being - whilst at the same time honouring the holistic benefits of walking.
We use Ticket Tailor for all bookings. The different rates, together with all the practical info you need is all on there. Just use the links on this site.
