MEN’S GATHERING SVH 061225.jpg

Our last men's gathering of the year sees us back at back at the warm and homely Sourton Parish Hall, perched on the very edge of Dartmoor.

As usual, we'll take a deep dive into what it means to be our true selves as a man in the UK as 2025 comes towards a close and share what we've learnt and realised on our journeys in this life. We'll share inspiration for the easy stuff and compassion for difficult stuff.

In this gathering, we're invited to explore what 'failure' (and of course 'success') really means to us as men and how we might allow and be OK with both as part of the natural ebb and flow of life. There's zero expectation that men say anything - you are welcome to come along and just listen.

Please bring lunch to share.

If the weather is clement, we'll take a stroll up onto Sourton Tors, with their magnificent views across west Devon and east Cornwall to Bodmin Moor.

We ask for a donation of £8pp towards hall hire.

Dance - 5Rhythms Eco Hub 191225 (2) .jpg

Music by TianitaK

Xristiana Kal (aka TianitaK) will be returning and preparing another fantastic playlist for us.

TianitaK has been providing music for events up and down the land for several years now, having developed her own unique style of putting a wave together which resonates with many people, helping them to release and let go of of stuck energies.

We create a safe and non-judgemental space. There's no need to be 'able to dance' - it's all about self expression - whatever that looks like - within a process of letting go of our heads and letting our bodies respond to the music moment by moment. It's liberating and fun!

As usual, at the end, there will be a simple, loosely guided meditative space for all to imbibe in the vibrantly alive, yet deeply peaceful energy that fills the room.

The event is alcohol and substance free and we'll be sharing cacao (a heart opener) at the start.

There's no need to book, just come along. As usual, we suggest a £5 donation to help cover our costs.

S-NC Fernworthy Four Stone Circles, 5m 071225 (1).jpg

We're back in big, beautiful and peaceful Fernworthy forest to revisit Froggymead stone circle in the forest clearing and to go up onto the open moor to the impressive Grey Wethers double stone circle. This time we'll also take in Sittaford Tor, with it's own recumbent stone circle (the highest on Dartmoor) close by.

Join us for another opportunity to connect with ancient and sacred sites deep in the Moor.

Your first Self/Nature Connection pilgrimage is FREE; thereafter £20 or £15 (your choice, honestly :)

New Year Gathering - Eco Hub, 170126.jpg

A social get-together for everyone who been a part of our venture and inspiration over the past two and a half years!  No agenda, just being with each other.

It's also an opportunity for those of you who haven't managed to make it to any of our events yet (for whatever reason) to drop-in for a cuppa (tea/coffee/cacao/juice) and just to meet us and some of our vibrant little heart-centred tribe.

We'd love you to see you (even if it's only for a few minutes).

There's no need to book.

Suggested £5 donation towards venue hire.

S-NC Yarner Wood, Gaian Forest Bathing (Jenny), no set dist 180126.jpg

We will be connecting with the beauty and life of Yarner Wood, a Site of Special Scientific Interest within East Dartmoor National Nature Reserve. Yarner Wood has huge ancient oak stands, big magical old holly trees and little streams running through the wood. The wood is very quiet in the winter (even at weekends) and it's the perfect place to try a session of Gaian Forest Bathing.

There's no set distance to walk, but as a rough guide, we won't cover any more than 2 or 3 miles maximum.

From Jenny: "Gain Forest Bathing encourages us to open all our senses and connect with forest. The walks can all be different in style by the pace will always be slow and relaxed. Time to be called to that special tree, time to sink into the forest floor. Remembering what so many of us have forgotten. Connection to nature, listening, learning and healing. After a session of Gaian Forest Bathing I return with a sense of lightness in my mood, calmness surrounds me and I am better able to manage the stresses of everyday life in this fast paced world.

Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku) was developed as a specific practice in Japan in the 1980s (so it isn't an ancient). After many years research into the benefits of Forest Bathing on physical and mental health the Japanese government wanted to inspire residents to reconnect with and protect the countries forests."

We will be mindful of the weather and will limit the less active/still periods of the day accordingly, so that nobody gets cold. We'll send out a kit list closer to the time with some tips to keep you all as toasty as possible.

Your first Self/Nature Connection pilgrimage is FREE; thereafter £20 or £15 (your choice, honestly :)

Image - group on Harton Chest outcrop, Lustleigh Cleave 040525.heic

Six of the group of seven perched on Harton Chest - a rocky outcrop with magnificent views through Lustleigh Cleave and the Moor beyond (May 2025)

Here's a recent testimonial from Sylvia for our Lustleigh Cleave Self~Nature Connection on 4th May this year....

"Dear Paul and Kate,

Here's a big Thank you to you both and the lovely group of people sharing the day with me. Lustleigh Cleave in May is one of the most beautiful spots with seemingly never ending carpets of bluebells in ancient woods.

Sitting on the rocky remainders of an ancient settlement in this enchanted place to be treated to a guided meditation introduced and completed by the sound of Kate's ocarina, rounding off the vision.

Taking in the breathtaking view from the Harton Chest ("heart on chest") rocky outcrop view point, connecting with the rocks whilst listening to a wise tale about the rock beings.

Swimming in the ice cold river- how invigorating, mindful and focussing! Enjoying a reading of moving poetry by one soul warrior and other soul warriors carrying a 'wood dragon' all the way back to the meeting point for a fellow soul warrior.

A wonderfully mindful journey through- and connection with- this enchanted landscape, being able to just be- brilliantly facilitated by Paul and Kate.

Namasté, Sylvia
