SN-C Summer Solstice Night Walk (4-6m) 200625 .jpg
Dance - ancestral roots Eco Hut 270625 (2).jpg

This special Summer Solstice Eve Night Walk on northeast Dartmoor with Paul & Kate will give us an opportunity to experience the magic of the Moor through the shortest night of the year, arriving at the Belstone Nine Maidens stone circle in time for Summer Solstice sunrise.

As with all our Self~Nature Connection walks, we'll include some silent, mindful walking (and stopping) to enjoy and imbibe in the quiet and sounds of the night, connecting with Nature in its nocturnal aspect.

The walk will also include a permitted fire and hot drinks and snacks en route.

The walk will be somewhere between 4 and 6 miles (the exact distance will be dependent upon conditions). What we can say at this stage is that the Belstone stone circle will be an amazing place to welcome and celebrate the sunrise on the longest day! We will then be walking back to South Zeal through beautiful Belstone Cleave at dawn, which should be a morning chorus delight.

If you're feeling a call to join us, you're welcome to book here: here: https://buytickets.at/soulwarriors/1660360  All the practical info is here, including a kit list.

We are inviting donations for this walk (which will go towards things like fuel, for the three recces (night and day) we've done, spare kit (e.g. spare headtorches and batteries) and firewood for this event; and room hire and refreshments for our other events). We can take cash before or on the day, or through the Ticket Tailor link above.

                                        ~~~
We invite participants to see our Self/Nature Connection walks as pilgrimages, both outer - amongst nature's beauty, and inner - to our true selves in the present moment; just slowing down and stopping here and there to just be in a beautiful place can captivate us into being deeply present in the now, which is deeply satisfying, soul-nourishing and restorative.
On all of our Self/Nature Connection days, Paul, Chris and/or Kate will lead you with a blend of social walking, mindful, silent walking, and at some of the natural power places along the way, stopping, breathing and connecting with ourselves/nature-earth. You may have heard of the Japanese practice of forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku)... this is it! We'll also invite you to take part in some loosely guided intuitive movement we call 'Yopo' (inspired by our slow flow Hatha Yoga and slow flow non-contact Kenpo practices), or gentle Qi Gong led by Kate.
Our pilgrimages aren't primarily about the distance covered, but about creating space to be and connect to self, others and nature/earth, whilst at the same time honouring the holistic benefits of walking.
Our SPECIAL OFFER for
new pilgrims continues:
Your first pilgrimage FREE; thereafter £20pp or £15pp (you choose what you pay, honestly :)
Soul Warriors & TianitaK are in a new collaboration with Robyn (thecelticboudica) for our seventh ECSTATIC DANCE!
We're going native with this one with a Celtic/Ancestral Roots Dance Journey with  Robyn/thecelticboudica bringing the music.
The dance is a golden opportunity to really let go and be led by whatever your body wants and needs to do. It's completely freestyle and liberating. As before, at the end, there will be a simple, loosely guided meditative space for all to imbibe in the vibrantly alive, yet deeply peaceful energy that fills the room.
The event is alcohol and substance free. This time we'll share Nettle & Rose tea (a native heart opener and strengthener) at the start.
There's no need to book, just come along. We suggest a £5 donation to help cover our costs.
Here's a recent testimonial from Sylvia for our Lustleigh Cleave Self~Nature Connection on 4th May....
Dear Paul and Kate,
Here's a big Thank you to you both and the lovely group of people sharing the day with me. Lustleigh Cleave in May is one of the most beautiful spots with seemingly never ending carpets of bluebells in ancient woods.
Sitting on the rocky remainders of an ancient settlement in this enchanted place to be treated to a guided meditation introduced and completed by the sound of Kate's ocarina, rounding off the vision.
Taking in the breathtaking view from the Harton Chest ("heart on chest") rocky outcrop view point, connecting with the rocks whilst listening to a wise tale about the rock beings.
Swimming in the ice cold river- how invigorating, mindful and focussing! Enjoying a reading of moving poetry by one soul warrior and other soul warriors carrying a 'wood dragon' all the way back to the meeting point for a fellow soul warrior.
A wonderfully mindful journey through- and connection with- this enchanted landscape, being able to just be- brilliantly facilitated by Paul and Kate.
Namasté, Sylvia
